Lean Product and Process Development Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lean Product and Process Development (LPPD) Intern to join our team at BorgWarner. As an LPPD Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering professionals and gain hands-on experience in the lean product development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of documentation for LPPD and participate in LPPD meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of LPPD workshops and design, perform, and document LPPD activities
  • Support the implementation of new LPPD tools and processes, including bottleneck elimination and SW development
  • Contribute to the collection and analysis of data for LPPD development and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the LPPD team to synchronize processes between LPPD and operation excellence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles
  • Experience in a line production environment in the automobile industry (valued)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written)
  • Basic IT user skills
