Job Overview

Tn Portugal is seeking a highly skilled Global Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our team in Lisbon. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the AP team's operational performance, proposing recommendations for process harmonization and standardization, and ensuring strict compliance with finance policies and procedures.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment involving tight deadlines. Your strong technical skills and ability to escalate issue resolution, team building, and training will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the Accounting Services Manager on management dimensions, including assessment salary increase, promotion, and competency management.
  • Proposing and implementing accounts payable policies and procedures, as well as process harmonization and standardization between different legal entities.
  • Escalating back-office issues related to the AP process and applications, and preparing reporting to display process performance.
  • Maintaining accurate records and files, and investigating and resolving blocking invoices issues.
  • Supervising vendor statement reconciliations (VSRs), customer service, and relationship building with internal customers.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:
  • An accounting/accounts payable background and a minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in a commercial or industrial environment involving tight deadlines.
  • Experience in escalating issue resolution, team building, training, and team support.
