Finance Business Systems Analyst (Oracle)

12 month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity leave cover

Reporting to the Head of FBSS

York / Colchester / London / Lisbon – with Hybrid working

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Finance Business Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our Oracle ERP applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, maintain, support and enhance Oracle ERP applications.
  • Gather requirements from users and detail both process and technical requirements to translate end-user requirements into finished and working Oracle Applications Design.
  • Create, maintain and manage documentation for all Oracle Implementation, support initiatives and change requests.
  • Support the management of Oracle tools in the Finance function; including form updates, UAT, process development and documentation, standard report development, chart of account maintenance, etc.
  • Support the EPBCS based Forecast, Budget, and Long Range Plan Processes from a systems perspective.
  • Support the FCCS group consolidation process.
  • Support working day timetable processes.
  • Establish best practices and support user community training on Oracle Report development and Smartview.
  • Perform data cleansing and data auditing as necessary to ensure data quality.
  • Maintain and monitor change / ticket requests.
  • Create, maintain and monitor analysis of system performance, hierarchy's and current processes with the focus being on improvement of end user experience.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience required:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Oracle Cloud Solutions.
  • Fully or part qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) with ideally 3 years experience. Those with more, or less years experience, but with the right level of knowledge will naturally be considered.
  • Technical expertise in Oracle modules including General Ledger, Sub-Ledgers, Consolidation (FCCS), Planning (EPBCS), Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Allocations (PCMCS) and Data Management (MDM).
  • Extensive experience in systems administration and support, preferably within a financial services sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong control mindset and experience.
