Inria, the French national research institute for the digital sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the development of federated learning algorithms that prioritize privacy preservation.
Job DescriptionThis postdoctoral position will be part of the MAGNET team and involve collaboration with European project partners. The successful candidate will focus on researching and prototyping algorithms for secure, privacy-preserving federated learning in settings with potentially malicious participants.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of federated learning algorithms prioritizing privacy preservation
- Collaborate with colleagues in the MAGNET team and the TRUMPET, FLUTE, and REDEEM project consortia
- Research and prototype cryptographic strategies to improve the security of privacy-preserving AI systems
- Design and develop the TRUMPET/FLUTE platform and its supporting algorithms
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a strong research background in computer science, with a particular emphasis on areas such as privacy, cryptography, statistics, or distributed systems. Additionally, excellent communication and reporting skills, as well as proficiency in English, are essential.

Salary and BenefitsThe gross monthly salary for this position is approximately 2788 EUR. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including partial reimbursement of public transport costs, 7 weeks of annual leave, and 10 extra days off due to RTT. Teleworking and flexible working hours are also available.
