About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced professional to join our Finance function. As a Financial Accounting Specialist, you'll be responsible for preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements, ensuring processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a specialised individual contributor for a pre-determined area or region.
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in direct collaboration with the senior manager and country controller.
- Support the senior manager in delivering all internal and external audits for group and local purposes.
- Prepare tax reports, including VAT returns, Intrastat returns, and EC sales lists, and manage corporate tax payments.
- Administer purchase orders and maintain chart of accounts/GL master data.
- Support the senior manager on entity migrations and business combinations.
- Handle company secretarial activities.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in accounting operations or experience working in a finance Shared Service Centre (SSC) or Global Business Services environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficient English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate efficiently with senior partners and management.
- Strong financial, analytical, communication and project management skills.
- Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones during peak periods such as period end.
