We are looking for a skilled Staff Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead technical strategy, architecture, and implementation while mentoring engineers and collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term technical strategies for our online store product and platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive best practices for engineering excellence and technical leadership
- Mentor and guide the engineering team to architect solutions at scale
- Contribute directly to projects that require more senior technical expertise or to quickly address ambiguous engineering challenges
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building large-scale software systems and highly available distributed systems
- Experience in building and implementing long-term technical strategy
- Strong communication skills with ability to give impactful feedback to colleagues
- Hands-on approach and pragmatic attitude in turning ideas into working software
- Significant experience using multiple programming languages (especially Java) and a broad range of tools like Springboot, hibernate, databases, etc.
