\As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

- Building, installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining both physical and virtual infrastructure.\
- Ensuring that our systems are consistently delivered quickly and with high availability.\
- Working with the development team to design fast, scalable systems.\
- Removing performance bottlenecks from current systems.\
- Applying and updating system upgrades, firmware, and infrastructure changes.\
- Proactively monitoring and managing the health and configuration of the system. Taking corrective actions based upon Standard Operating Procedures.\
- Being available to work outside of normal business hours to fulfill production and project needs, providing 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.\

Requirements
\To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

- 3+ years experience administering Linux/UNIX systems.\
- Familiarity with various cloud computing platforms, including Amazon AWS and DigitalOcean.\
- Understanding of container technologies: Docker, Podman, LXC, and Kubernetes.\
- Understanding of the PHP language and how best to set up and configure it.\
- Networking tools/technologies: HAProxy, ingress (containers), routing, firewall (iptables or nftables).\
- Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, and DNS well enough to debug common problems.\
- Creative problem-solving skills for working with a variety of different systems and customers.\
- Experience with Nginx, PHP, MySQL, Redis, and Varnish is a distinct advantage.\
- Ability to adapt to new technologies.\
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.\
