Who are we looking for?
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Python, SQL, and big data technologies to develop, operate, and maintain data processing applications on an AWS-based big data platform. The ideal candidate will have experience working in cloud environments, collaborating effectively within a small team, and possessing strong skills in data manipulation and processing. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, performing data analysis, and supporting data science initiatives to drive insights and add value across the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with global teams
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities market and GDPR regulations
- Experience with Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence tools
- Background in projects development
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Athena, EC2, Glue, CDK / Cloud formation, Step Functions, Batch, Fargate)
- Proficiency in Spark and Pyspark
