Job DescriptionThis position involves the development and implementation of drug substance particle engineering and drug development programs in compliance with Quality HSE and cGMP policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process for clinical or commercial supplies of materials in cooperation with areas and supporting safety hazard analysis and other technical support areas as required.
The role requires promoting scientific excellence and innovation in the area contributing with technical expertise to expand the Intellectual Property product and technology portfolios.
The ideal candidate will follow procedures with clear instructions and work in accordance with established patterns and requirements.
The job involves performing and recording laboratory experiments undertaking processing activities related to the development and improvement of processes.
The Laboratory Technician will rigorously accurately efficiently and professionally execute and record all analysis activities in accordance with applicable GMP quality operational standards/procedures and legal regulations.
The role also includes being an advocate for safe operating and high-quality performance alerting peers and ascending colleagues to any potential risks and suggesting optimizations or improvements.
Additionally the Laboratory Technician will develop and accumulate laboratory technical expertise keep up to date with the latest developments in laboratory methodologies and practices provide an example of professionalism and support the induction and training of new colleagues.
The successful candidate must carry out laboratory experiments including equipment assembly material dispensing execution recording and cleaning take responsibility for all data individually generated and deliver all activities in accordance with Quality and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations.
The role also requires working closely and communicating effectively with the area Scientists and interns as well as other internal areas.
The Laboratory Technician will record detailed legible and accurate checklists observations laboratory results and notebooks maintain good hygiene and housekeeping within the laboratory assure routine calibration of designated laboratory instruments and applicable/corrective maintenance actions.
The role involves adhering and supporting the laboratory schedule in order to achieve an efficient Laboratory operation bringing any discrepancies deviations or non-conformance in testing or work practice to the attention of management proposing corrective actions and suggestions for improvements assisting with audits investigations as required following all annual performance review requirements and completing the self-assessment.
The successful candidate must undertake any additional tasks commensurate with the role as and when required striving for Right First Time and Productivity in all assigned tasks organizing and defining daily priorities within their assigned tasks preparing documentation for laboratory work such as instructions and checklists maintaining open communication with colleagues identifying and reporting any production HSE quality or other issues to management carrying out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner in accordance with instructions and to comply with environmental health & safety rules/procedures regulations and codes of practice.
We are looking to recruit a Candidate with full secondary school qualifications or relevant work experience with comparable setting mandatory and vocational qualification in a relevant chemistry analytical chemistry electronics mechatronics pharmaceutical-related or other science-related field highly desirable formal knowledge or experience of working with laboratory practices theory and techniques is desirable proven practical experience in laboratory work practice is preferable experience in handling chemicals and understanding of the operations for conducting laboratory experiments involving the use of chemicals is preferable good understanding of GMP regulations is preferable numerical capability for simple arithmetic computer literate clear and open communication skills written and verbal competent written and verbal English is highly desirable physical capability to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks and must have the Knowledge Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down.
