Job Summary
The VAT Manager role at Colt Technology Services requires a skilled professional to support with ad hoc advisory and compliance deliverables. This includes process governance and controls, preparing and reviewing VAT returns, and handling statutory/internal audits and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and support VAT returns and compliance, as well as Manual Journal postings.
- Support intercompany services in analysis, initiatives, modeling, implementation, and compliance with existing laws and regulations.
- Evaluate transfer pricing adjustments and advise on matters related to Transfer Pricing.
- Drive and support Tax and VAT projects, and deliver project-related activities.
- Carry out monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of variance and key financial tax numbers.
- Handle statutory and internal audits on VAT and tax, and support local country audits.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities, and report timely on potential issues.
- Gather requirements for tax system enhancement, and document tax processes and controls.
- Assist the Indirect Tax Manager with Tax queries from the Business.
- Support and coordinate compliance deliverables provided by Colt's outsourced VAT provider.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting or a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly in VAT and Transfer Pricing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements, and to document tax processes and controls.
