We combine design, web-publishing, and analytics tools in a single platform that enhances existing sites with 10x richer content without requiring code development or risk.
What We Do
We provide software solutions for online retailers and brands to create, source, publish, and optimize interactive content for product pages, landing pages, lookbooks, blog posts, user-generated stories, and more.
Our customers include major brands such as Walmart, Anthropologie, Rue21, and many others.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled software engineer to take ownership of Maker's technology platform development, including hands-on development, backend architecture, technical support, and technology strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Exploring new developments in tech to benefit our products and platform or operational effectiveness of the software development team.
- Developing clean, readable, and maintainable code and tests for Node.js applications.
- Integrating with third-party APIs and building key functionality for a cloud-based product.
- Experience with test-driven development and unit testing.
- Building at least two products from scratch and scaling them from 10X to 100X.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 8+ years of experience as a writer of clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- Experience in building Node.js applications, APIs, and integrating with third-party APIs.
- Worked on key functionality for a cloud-based product.
- Experience with test-driven development and unit testing.
- Experience in software engineering and architecture.
- Good communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience working on an internal product (an application or CMS) and working in a product-based startup are pluses.
