The Role

You'll be responsible for processing customer payments daily, reconciling carrier statements, and resolving discrepancies. You'll also monitor unallocated cash receipts and liaise with internal stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer payments daily.
  • Reconcile carrier statements & resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor unallocated cash receipts and liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external queries.
  • Coordinate tasks within the French Bill to Cash team in Lisbon.

Your Tasks

  • Review ledgers to identify items payable to Carriers/Clients/Sub Brokers and other entities.
  • Reconcile incoming payments with invoices.
  • Resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and track unallocated payments through reporting.
  • Liaise with account managers and insurance companies regarding payment issues, reconciliation discrepancies, and unallocated cash.
  • Provide timely and effective responses to all queries, requests, corrections, etc. received from field offices/carriers.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Follow procedures and adhere to statutory requirements.
  • As a senior team member, report to head office and coordinate tasks among the Lisbon-based Bill to Cash team.

Requirements

We need a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills. Relevant experience in accounting or finance is desirable.

  • Relevant experience, accounting/finance preferable.
  • Proficiency in French and English (minimum C1 level required).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of VBA would be an advantage.
  • Insurance industry knowledge preferred.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and take initiative.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, and diligent in approach.
