About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team on a maternity cover basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that align with our company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to strengthen engagement within the Polkadot ecosystem.
  • Lead internal communications, ensuring transparency and alignment through company-wide calls, internal channels, and reporting key metrics to leadership.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the communication team, regularly reviewing progress to refine internal strategies and improve effectiveness.
  • Coordinate key internal initiatives and channels, including All Hands calls, the internal newsletter, and maintaining the company Handbook on Notion.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content, ensuring consistency with employer branding and event strategies.
  • Foster internal engagement and strengthen relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support cross-team communications, helping Operations & Support teams effectively share new processes and tools.
  • Identify communication opportunities and swiftly address challenges, including through targeted campaigns and managing crises or emerging issues.

About You:

  • 7-10 years of experience in communications, with expertise in aligning internal and external messaging and leading organization-wide communication initiatives.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in the technology or fast-paced, innovative environments.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking skills.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities, working effectively with executives, designers, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, crafting clear and compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences and channels.
  • Data-driven and adaptable, using analytics to inform decisions and improve strategies.
