Job Description
The role of Financial Operations Manager is responsible for promoting a best-in-class environment, allowing the team to ensure supplier invoices are processed timely and accurately for payment according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and in line with GKN policies.
This involves reviewing exception items and escalating pertinent issues if required. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of functional specialists and managing a daily workload for assigned entities
- Built strong relationships with local teams and broader GKN Automotive organization to support and coordinate business activities
- Ensuring operational process delivery, analyzing trends to ensure accurate and on-time handling of incoming invoice volumes
- Reconciling accounts payable totals to general ledger along with other applicable records
- Coordinating month-end closing activities assigned to Accounts Payable
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a Global Business Services (GBS) or shared services environment. They should possess strong financial, analytical, and communication skills. A good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices is also essential.
In addition, knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, processes, and workflow technology is highly desirable. The ability to work unsupervised and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines is also critical.
