Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cobol Developer to join our team in Lisbon. As a key member, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining COBOL applications according to project requirements. This involves writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, collaborating with team members to analyze requirements and design solutions, performing unit testing and debugging, optimizing COBOL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability, staying updated on COBOL language updates and best practices, participating in code reviews, and providing constructive feedback to peers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in COBOL programming language
  • Good knowledge of English (minimum B2), French is a plus but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of Shell scripting, familiarity with performance and monitoring tools on AIX
  • Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is an advantage
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or similar
