Job Summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a highly skilled Water Injection System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering system health, value or exposure, and budget.

SBM Offshore is a leading technology provider in the offshore energy industry. We design, build, install and operate offshore floating facilities that reduce emissions from fossil fuel production while developing cleaner solutions for renewable energy sources.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver system health, value or exposure, and budget.
  2. Facilitate objective over asset lifecycle across Operations, Maintenance, and Technical.
  3. Focal point with the Water Injection System Lead for external stakeholders including technology, supply chain, maintenance, group, LL, OIPOC, all AI pillars, fleet.
  4. Continuous improvement of system design to make the fleet safer, more sustainable, and more profitable.
  5. Develop and improve system KPIs and surveillance requirements.
  6. Digital Surveillance for the System he/she is responsible.
  7. Prioritization across systems within each FPSO with other system engineers and leads.
  8. Tactical - rapid response to Offshore leadership team on any incident or failure within the system he/she is responsible for.
  9. Oversight of maintenance plan in collaboration with the Water Injection System Lead – right condition monitoring, right program, right annual maintenance plan.
  10. Development and implementation of the Smart Operation Production Hub Roadmap.
  11. Update 3Y plans and unit budgets with the Power and Utilities System Lead.
  12. Performance baselines and map performance improvements vs initiatives deployed on each unit.
  13. Comprehensive and exhaustive Production System dashboard and KPIs.
  14. Key initiatives and QnA/MOC to improve system performance.
  15. Asset Surveillance & Intelligence (AS&I) engineers for abnormal behaviors validation and definition of corrective actions.
  16. Abnormal behaviors and implementation of remedial actions.
  17. Analyses and recommendations to improve systems performance.
  18. Spare part stock to ensure minimum levels are maintained.
  19. All maintenance tasks are adequately grouped within the system to minimize system downtime.
  20. Planned shutdown scopes and key tasks for system are adequately captured.
  21. System related CO2 emissions to identify abnormal behaviors and make recommendations for emission reductions.
  22. Learning culture within the team.
  23. Relationships and steward performance of strategic suppliers.
  24. Pilot projects/initiatives for implementing systems engineering approach.
  25. Audits of system and mobilize offshore as necessary.
  26. Hazop and Hazid as required.

Requirements

  • Process Engineer.
  • Minimum 8 years in Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Operation and in relation with the system he will lead.
  • Field Experience is required.
  • FPSONo experience is required.
  • Familiarized with working procedure, regulatory compliance, and offshore constraints.
  • Enthusiastic person.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Able to travel abroad and offshore on short or long duration basis as required.
  • Able to bring a global understanding of a system.
  • Be an expert in the system she/he will engineer.
  • Have experience with engineering, commissioning, and operation activities.

  • Able to work autonomously and in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Must have a proactive approach in combination with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work as a team member and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore staff at all levels.
