Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe System Administrator to maintain optimal performance and availability of mainframe systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems, such as z/OS and z/VM, and experience with mainframe hardware, including IBM zSeries and z/Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain mainframe systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the mainframe systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to design and implement new mainframe solutions.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with mainframe systems.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems, such as z/OS and z/VM.
- Experience with mainframe hardware, including IBM zSeries and z/Enterprise.
- Familiarity with programming languages, such as COBOL and Assembler.
