Job Title: Junior Data Scientist

As a Junior Data Scientist, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (MSc/PhD in Data Science is a plus).
  • Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or a similar role.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in Machine Learning, NLP, and text dataset curation.
  • Hands-on experience in coding for real-world data analytics applications.
  • Experience in NLP tasks, such as Text Classification, NER, and Information Retrieval.
  • Experience working with LLMs, OpenAI API (or equivalent), and RAG.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML/DL packages (PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas).
  • Solid mathematical foundations and experience in statistical consultancy.
  • Strong business sense with the ability to quickly understand use cases.
  • Familiarity with data engineering, modeling, and business analysis.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
  • Experience with Cafe.
  • Programming languages like Java, R, and C++.
  • Knowledge of cloud tools such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
  • Experience with MLOPs practices.
