As a Commercial Director at Gleeds, you will be responsible for leading the cost and procurement management aspects of hyper-scale data centre projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies aligned with project goals and client expectations.
  • Overseeing cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial control.
  • Conducting cost analysis and benchmarking to optimise project costs.
  • Managing contract negotiations and compliance to ensure all contractual obligations are met and risks are mitigated.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities, implementing risk mitigation strategies to protect project interests.

You will work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive value and efficiency throughout the project life cycle. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project goals and client expectations.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Sound cost management experience in large construction projects.
  • Experience in mission-critical projects.
  • Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of post-contract cost management tasks.
