Multipessoal, a reputable multinational, is seeking an experienced Production Automation Specialist to join its team in Portugal.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency and innovation within the Operations Development Department, leading initiatives to simplify and automate processes, ensuring operational excellence.
This role requires close collaboration with specialists to identify and implement opportunities for machine improvements, focusing on quality, scrap reduction, performance optimization, and preventive/predictive maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out daily technical and technological development tasks;
- Planning and coordinating project activities, including software design, coding, testing, and deployment;
- Conducting code and design reviews to maintain high development standards;
- Liaising with external partners for technology development tasks;
- Ensuring task documentation and changes implemented;
- Supporting troubleshooting and ensuring production/machine availability;
- Managing projects related to PLC-controlled production machines equipped with vision and robot systems.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrotechnics or Automation (5+ years experience);
- Excellent communication skills in English (B1 – Intermediate level);
- Experience in maintaining automated industrial machines;
- Project Management skills are a plus;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good communication and teamwork skills;
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings;
- PLC programming knowledge in at least one technology;
- Install and uninstall electrical components;
- HMI knowledge preferred;
- Pneumatic and hydraulic diagram interpretation preferred;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience. A competitive benefits package is offered, including professional development opportunities.
