Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a key member of our data platform team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, automating, and monitoring CI/CD/CT pipelines for our Azure-based data platform.

You will establish and enforce DevOps best practices such as automated testing and deployment strategies. Additionally, you will keep up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within our organization's DevOps ecosystem.

Mentorship and technical guidance to other data professionals are also expected, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. We encourage collaboration with data engineering, data science, MLOps, and cloud infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, automate & monitor CI/CD/CT pipelines for an Azure based Data Platform;
  • Establish and enforce DevOps best practices such as automated testing and deployment strategies;
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's DevOps ecosystem;
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other data professionals, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning;
Requirements:
  • 3+ years working experience as Azure DevOps Engineer in the field of Data & Analytics or in a similar role;
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure is required;
  • You're proficient with scripting languages (e.g. Python, YAML, git, bash, PowerShell, …);
  • You're proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions…);
  • You have experience with testing & data quality (e.g. pytest, great expectations, etc.);
  • You have experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, …);
  • You have experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, …);
  • You have experience of working in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum, …);
  • Certifications in Azure are a plus (e.g. Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solution Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, ...);
  • Being familiar with software engineering best practices in coding, software design patterns, testing & debugging are a plus;
  • Being familiar with DataOps principles in observability, monitoring, & incident reporting are a plus;
