About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Localization Tester - Freelance Position to join our team. As a freelancer, you will work with us on a freelance basis, collaborating with our global project team to ensure accurate localization of our games.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a global project team to ensure accurate localization of games.
• Identify and correct language errors, cultural inconsistencies, and other issues that may affect the game's quality.
• Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
• Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
• Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
• Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
• Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.

Requirements

• No experience required. Just fluency in Japanese/Nihongo and conversational English.
• Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
• Computer literacy - particularly with Excel.
• Robust Internet research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
• Candidate must be located within Europe.
