Job Title: Research Scientist (Analytical Chemistry)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in the field of Analytical Chemistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and developing analytical protocols for the nutritional characterization of microalgal biomass, quantification of high-value compounds, and quantification of inorganic and organic pollutants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop analytical protocols for the nutritional characterization of microalgal biomass.
  • Quantification of high-value compounds, such as vitamins, carotenoid pigments, phenolics, fatty acids, etc.
  • Quantification of inorganic and organic pollutants, such as metals, PAHs, PCBs, pesticides, and PFAS.
  • Perform untargeted metabolomics of algal biomass, including metabolite identification and annotation.
  • Supervise undergraduate, master, and PhD students.
  • Participate in the writing of scientific papers, communications, and technical reports.

Requirements:

  • PhD holder in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, or related areas.
  • Solid foundation in chemistry, metabolomics, and bioinformatics.
