Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated candidates to fill two research fellow positions within our Machine Learning and Smart Tourism Initiative. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects, working closely with renowned experts in the field.
About the Role
- You will be responsible for fine-tuning a Small Language Model (SLM) for classification of Smart Tourism Technologies and Initiatives.
- Your task will involve integrating and validating this SLM in content classification and selection processes.
- You will also be expected to disseminate and demonstrate the new version of the Observatory.
- In addition, you will produce two scientific articles for submission to indexed conferences/journals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess a doctoral degree in Information Sciences and Technologies or a similar scientific area. You should have a strong background in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
Benefits
We offer a competitive monthly allowance of €1,309.64, which will be paid by bank transfer to your account. Our research fellowship contract is governed by the regulations published by FCT, ensuring a stable and secure environment for your academic and professional development.
