We're looking for a skilled professional to take on the role of Data Business Analyst in Devoteam Portugal. This position involves working closely with accounting control staff to streamline processes and identify automation opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data preparation tools, including Alteryx, Dataiku, or Knime. They should also be proficient in Power BI, Power Query, Python, and Excel. Additionally, they should have experience with RPA tools, such as Blue Prism or UIPath.

As a Data Business Analyst, you will sit with accounting control staff to understand their current process and identify areas for improvement. You will then draft high-level designs for automated procedures that can be developed first by yourself and later by Finance IT.

You will implement desired automated procedures using inputs from accounting control staff and deliver working tools that they can use while waiting for Finance IT solutions. These solutions can include any number of tools, such as Power Query, Power BI, Knime, Alteryx, Python, or Blue Prism.

Your task is to document business rules agreed upon with accounting control staff and implemented in the prototype, and communicate them to Finance IT. You will also assist the accounting control team in interacting efficiently with Finance IT to ensure that the tools developed by the team are industrialized by Finance IT.

In addition, you will coach accounting control staff on using advanced desktop tool functions, such as those found in Excel, Power Query, and Power BI, so that they can work more efficiently in their day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sit with accounting control staff and go through all the steps of the current process;
  • Identify automation opportunities and draft the overall high-level design of an automated procedure that would be developed first by themselves and later by Finance IT;
  • Implement the desired automated procedure with the inputs of accounting control staff and deliver a working tool that accounting control staff can use in waiting for the Finance IT solution;
  • Document the business rules agreed with accounting control staff and implemented in the prototype and communicate them to Finance IT;
  • Help accounting control team interact efficiently with Finance IT so that the tools developed by the team be industrialized by Finance IT;
  • Coach accounting control staff on using advanced desktop tools functions (excel, power query, power bi) so that they are more efficient in their day-to-day work.

The estimated salary for this position is €55,000-60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
