Company Overview

Plexus.Tech provides specialist services to military and security institutions (NATO, UN, EU, and National Government and Defence). We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with expertise in Java 17+, Spring Framework 5.3+, Spring Boot 3.

About the Role

This is a permanent contract for a mid-senior level developer who will work remotely from Portugal. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in software development and holds a NATO Secret clearance. You will design, develop, test, and maintain the IOTA suite of tools, write and update software documentation, and participate in team meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain the IOTA suite of tools
  • Write, update, and maintain software documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and document sprints
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering field
  • At least 5 years of relevant software development experience
  • Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Framework 5.3+, Spring Boot 3
  • Experience developing real-time RESTful web systems using HTTP, HTTPS, WS, WSS, and SOAP
  • Experience with automated testing (JUnit/Component, Functional, Integration)
Desirable Skills and Qualifications

The following skills are desirable but not mandatory:

  • Experience with Tactical Data Links (TDLs) and prior work within NATO (ACO, ACT, NCIA)
