About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at IRIUM Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the development, deployment, configuration, review, maintenance, testing, and documenting of programs in compliance with internal guidelines, specifications provided, deadlines, and quality standards.
  2. Collaborate in the technical design and implementation of an exchange layer, liaising the different target applications with our IT platform.
  3. Develop Web Services and APIs for a cloud-based web application.
  4. Design and implement server-side web application logic along with integration with the front-end.
  5. Work closely with the BA engineering team and front-end developers to ensure seamless and performant integration.
  6. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  7. Troubleshoot and debug, including performance optimization.
  8. Collaborate in an agile context with multiple team members on the project.

Requirements:

  • For Senior back-end developer, more than 6 years of professional experience as a back-end developer is expected.
  • For Experienced back-end developer, more than 4 years of professional experience as a back-end developer is expected.
  • Main language: Java 11/17.
  • Excellent knowledge in Java, J2EE technologies, and web applications.
  • Experience in Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Cloud Vault.
  • Experience in API and PostgreSQL.
  • Agile frameworks and tools (Jira, Octane, Confluence) skills.
  • DevOps and testing tools (Octane, Junit, Jfrog artifactory, GitLab, Jenkins, Cypress) experience.
  • Quality and security tools (SonarQube, Fortify, Nexus) skills.
  • Experience in Oracle and ElasticSearch.
  • Knowledge in MQ, CFT technologies.
  • Ability to produce high-quality clean code.
  • Ability to produce rich and clear technical documentation.
  • Project-oriented vision with strong commitment to due dates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and client-oriented mindset.
  • Deliver on time with necessary levels of Quality.
  • Good analysis and organization skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight timeframes.
  • Good work ethics and high levels of motivation.
  • Autonomous, rigorous, organized, and delivery-focused with attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
