About the Role

The Strategic Project Controller will play a critical role in ensuring project profitability and accuracy according to business reality, IFRS, internal policies, and other regulations. This involves providing financial insights to project managers, business stakeholders, finance teams, audit teams, accounting teams, and other relevant parties. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project controlling for customer projects across all Business Groups (BGs), serving as the primary point of contact for project controlling matters with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain projects in the ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Support the PM/PMO organization in understanding accounting impacts on project actuals and forecasts, providing key insights to inform decision-making.
  • Assess changes in accounting treatment of projects in execution phase and prepare materials for approval, ensuring compliance with Revenue Recognition Board decisions.
  • Verify the correctness of actual reporting of sales, cost, and balance sheet items for assigned projects, guaranteeing accuracy and reliability.
  • Monitor and control project balance sheets, performing netting exercises to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Contribute to order backlog verification for assigned projects, providing essential support to the PM/PMO organization.
  • Ensure compliance with Nokia's accounting principles, reporting guidelines, processes, tools, and internal controls within the project.
  • Provide information to internal and external auditors on project financials, fostering transparency and trust.
  • Support the PM/PMO organization in project performance reviews, offering valuable insights on actual figures and accounting topics.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Good skills in ERP, IFRS, and RRB policy
  • Good knowledge of Nokia's business and business drivers
  • Ability to work precisely and independently, checking work before finalization/upload
  • Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments and deadlines
