Noesis seeks experienced professionals to work at our offices in Coimbra:

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute all different types of tests using various methodologies.
  • Perform exploratory testing to detect undocumented problems that may impact the quality of our products.
  • Create, maintain and execute detailed test cases and scenarios to ensure thorough coverage of our applications.
  • Identify bugs/defects and report them on an appropriate tool for further analysis.
  • Prepare detailed bug reports with screenshots, step-by-step explanations, to reproduce the problem and facilitate resolution.
  • Develop and maintain test strategies, when applicable, to optimize our testing processes.
  • Use of test and defect management tools to streamline our workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Elaborate and present status reporting for clients, providing clear insights into project progress.
  • Lead and train team members in the project, when applicable, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the development team to improve our software quality.
  • Participate in meetings as necessary to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure alignment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing and quality processes to stay ahead of industry standards.
  • Comply with project standards on testing policies, criteria, strategy, and procedure to maintain consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to build trust and foster collaboration.

Profile

  • We are seeking a candidate with at least 6 years of professional experience in similar functions, preferably in the testing and quality assurance field.
  • Experience in design, planning, and execution of functional testing is essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in test management tools, defect management tools, and reporting is also required.
  • SQL Knowledge is a must for data-driven decision making.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies will be beneficial for adapting to changing project requirements.
  • The ideal candidate should have autonomy in QA tasks and capacity for decision making.
  • Team Management skills will be valuable for leading and training team members.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken, are required for effective collaboration with international teams.
  • Candidate should possess initiative, dynamism, and proactivity to drive results and growth.

Nice-to-have

  • A degree in computer science or a related field would be advantageous.
  • ISTQB Certifications demonstrate a commitment to quality and testing excellence.
  • Spanish/Castilian communication skills would be beneficial for working with diverse stakeholders.
