About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect and Developer to join our team at SAP. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for cloud technologies, software development, and system administration.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, IaaS cloud infrastructure, and associated technologies. They should be able to design and implement new features and architectures for cutting-edge cloud technologies.

In this role, you will work closely with our distributed Agile team in Germany, Canada, and Israel to develop scalable and efficient cloud-based systems. You will take ownership of feature development from design to production, including paid-on-call duties.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Very good experience in Scala, Java, or any Object-Oriented language.
  • Understanding of good testing practices, including unit testing and TDD.
  • Profound knowledge of Clean Code, SOLID principles, and Object-Oriented design patterns.
  • Experience with git and Continuous Integration/ Delivery.
  • Experience with cloud development and associated technologies, like AWS or other IaaS platforms.
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Know-how in networking (DNS/TCP/IP) and Linux.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work and contribute to collaborative working culture.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and dig into the technical details of a system.
  • Very good written and verbal English language skills.
  • Work experience of at least 2 years of practical experience in coding in a professional environment.

Salary Estimate

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
