Robert Walters plc is an international banking firm specialising in private banking and corporate investment. They're seeking a seasoned Security Risk Management Professional to join their team in Lisbon, Portugal. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for overseeing ICT and information security risks, conducting operational resilience tests, supporting the Business Continuity Plan, and developing awareness and training programs on information security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independent Security Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of information security practices, identifying areas for improvement and reporting findings to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Analyze and mitigate information security risks, proposing control measures to address identified vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Vulnerability Management: Develop and implement a robust vulnerability management program to identify and close security gaps, thereby reducing the risk of cyber threats.
  • Threat Intelligence Analysis: Assess emerging threats and propose interventions to reduce risks, monitoring their execution and effectiveness.
  • Operational Resilience: Oversee operational resilience tests, address any failures, and enhance IT risk management processes to ensure business continuity.
  • Behavioural Monitoring: Analyze user activities to detect and address suspicious behaviors, maintaining a secure environment.
  • Document Maintenance: Develop and maintain critical information security documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • IT Asset Classification: Assess and classify IT assets' criticality, identifying dependencies and recommending improvements to ensure optimal security.
  • Incident Response: Review security incidents, coordinate responses, gather evidence for legal actions, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Perform business impact analysis (BIAs), develop response plans, and propose improvements to the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness campaigns on information security across the organisation, fostering a culture of security awareness.
  • Expert Advice: Provide strategic advice to senior management on major risks and oversee the implementation of security controls, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented and maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree or Master's in Computer Engineering, Networks, or Information Security.
  • Risk Management Knowledge: Solid understanding of ICT and Security risk management practices, including ISO 27k, NIST, GDPR, and FAIR.
  • Information Security Expertise: Strong grasp of information security principles and concepts, with expertise in threat analysis and mitigation.
  • Familiarity with Standards: Up-to-date knowledge of international standards and regulations, with ability to apply them effectively.
  • Independent and Collaborative Work: Ability to work independently while being an effective team player, communicating complex ideas clearly.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Language Proficiency: Native Portuguese; advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken); basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
