Job Description

As a Sous Chef at FOODRIDERS, you will be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring standard kitchen operating procedures are met with senior culinary management's support
  2. Supervising and mentoring all culinary team members, including training and disciplining staff
  3. Overseeing service to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
  4. Sending daily service reports and accident reports
  5. Supporting prep for service and ensuring all ingredients meet restaurant standards
  6. Monitoring receiving to guarantee product quality
  7. Collaborating with the Executive Chef on menu creations and specials
  8. Supporting staffing needs for BOH open positions
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum one year of experience as a Junior Sous Chef or equivalent role at a comparable restaurant
  • Ability to independently complete daily, weekly, and monthly inventory
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Two or more years of experience as a Sous Chef at a comparable restaurant
  • Proven ability to run high-volume services and expediting
  • Dependability and a focus on continuous learning and development
