Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our asset management team in Lisbon. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our real estate portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing effective working relationships with operational departments, asset and property managers, accounting teams, and other key stakeholders
- Supporting the asset management team with administrative tasks, such as property registration and tenant billing
- Managing bad debt procedures and reporting, ensuring timely reconciliation and resolution
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in Property Accounting processes and supporting future property accountants
- Using Yardi software for property accounting and financial reporting tasks
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in accounts receivable
- Experience reviewing bank statements, preparing reconciliations, and investigating variances
- Familiarity with YARDI ERP and commercial properties is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
