Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Consultant to join our Business Tax Service's practice in Lisbon. As a key member of our team, you will develop deep tax knowledge and a sophisticated understanding of business drivers to serve our clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of corporate, personal, trust and partnership assignments, including investment, planning, compliance and controversy matters;
- Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations;
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff members to execute assignments with accuracy and completeness;
- Enhance technical skills by staying up-to-date on trends, legislative developments and tax authority decisions, and apply them to complex situations relevant to the client;
- Identify opportunities for providing tax management and other special services;
- Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining confidential and proprietary client relationships and related work products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of corporate tax advisory experience – tax planning, compliance, litigation;
- An accounting designation or other related experience or certification relevant to the tax manager role;
- Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability;
- A commitment to learn and provide tax solutions in a growing technology environment;
- Strong project management and organizational skills;
- Process oriented with excellent documentation skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
