This role is part of our client's Consolidation & Reporting global team, based in Lisbon. As a key member, you will report directly to the Consolidation Director and CFO of one of the companies within the Group.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure timely preparation of accurate consolidated financial statements, adhering to applicable standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) and aligned with the group's operations.
- Manage financial reporting timelines to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Collaborate with the Consolidation Director to enhance reporting processes, including integrating renewable-specific metrics.
- Lead and mentor finance managers across several countries to ensure alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within finance teams.
- Oversee performance evaluations and provide development opportunities for regional finance teams.
- Oversee the financial health and operational efficiency of the finance function, focusing on renewable energy project dynamics.
- Implement robust internal controls to ensure compliance with international financial standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancements within finance operations.
- Manage relationships with external accounting service providers to ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of external providers, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, including roles in financial reporting and control within a multinational context.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector or related finance.
- Proven track record of managing country finance teams and working with external accounting providers.
- Strong understanding of international accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple providers and tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex reporting requirements.
