About The Role
Cost Management Expertise
This opportunity is focused on delivering exceptional cost management services to data centers construction projects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing costs and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Unit Directors to achieve business objectives
- Develop and implement high-quality cost management strategies to meet customer requirements
- Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and option studies
- Conduct thorough cost planning and cost-in-use studies
- Advise on and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings
- Evaluate and report on tenders, ensuring the best value for money
- Value completed work and arrange for payments, settling final accounts efficiently
- Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent
- Produce and present reports to customers, highlighting key findings and recommendations
- Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across Business Units' activities
- Provide expert advice to Directors on any issues that may impact project success or Gleeds' professional indemnity insurance
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in sound cost management practices, particularly in large-scale construction projects. Your expertise should include:
- Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning
- Good knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
- Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Methodical approach to work, with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
- Proficiency in English, with Portuguese desirable
- Relevant qualifications in Building Engineering, Civil Engineering, QS, or Architecture
