Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack React Native Engineer to join our Celfocus Software Engineering Guild in Portugal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new user-facing features using React Native and dependable UI libraries. Your expertise in creating highly-responsive web-based user interfaces will be invaluable to our projects.

You will work closely with other teams, including functional analysis, quality assurance, and UX teams, to deliver high-quality solutions. Your ability to develop flexible and well-structured front-end architectures, along with the APIs to support them, will be essential to our success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features using React Native and dependable UI libraries.
  • Responsible for development of new highly-responsive, web-based user interface.
  • Work and collaborate with other teams like functional analysis, quality assurance and UX teams.
  • Develop a flexible and well-structured front-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it.
  • Optimize application for speed and scalability.
  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
  • Assume technical lead roles: work with Solution Architects to design frontend solutions, participate in the definition of the roadmap of the solutions, coaching and mentoring people in the projects and in the Company.
  • Work on proposals involving solutions/architecture related to React Native technologies.
  • Distribute and delegate tasks to the other elements of the team.
  • Capable to discuss technical and architectural solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • +7 years of professional experience with React Native.
  • Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, IntelliJ.
  • Knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming.
  • Knowledge of web architectures and services (HTTP, SOAP, REST, JSON, etc.).
  • Experience with continuous integration tools, like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, Maven.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
  • Interest and motivation to explore and investigate new concepts and technologies.
  • Knowledge on TELCO industry BSS architectures is preferable.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Previous experience in mentoring/coaching people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to travel (short-term periods).
