Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator to support the administration and configuration of Jira and Confluence, ensuring optimal performance and usability. The successful candidate will lead minor and major Jira/Confluence upgrades, coordinating maintenance, and implementing performance tuning and scaling efforts in collaboration with our Jira hosting partner. Additionally, they will install, manage, and administer Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions to enhance functionality and meet organizational needs. Furthermore, they will understand and adapt XML configuration files to manage integrations, particularly between Jira and Rally, as required. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify and implement Jira project and Confluence requirements that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will also conduct training sessions for employees and new hires on Jira and Confluence, including usage tips, new features, and best practices. Moreover, they will create, maintain, and support dashboards and advanced filters to provide reporting capabilities for end users. In addition, this role includes managing user permissions and access in accordance with company-defined roles and policies. The administrator will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jira projects and Confluence environments to ensure seamless operations.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require +3 years of proven experience in Jira customization and administration. Expertise in the Atlassian tool suite is essential, along with a strong understanding of XML (Extensible Markup Language) and basic programming knowledge with familiarity in various Java frameworks. Experience with hosted environments and remotely co-located systems is also desirable. Fluency in English, spoken and written, is mandatory. Proficiency in French and/or German is considered a plus.
