Voltalia is a leading player in the renewable energy sector, producing electricity from wind, solar, hydro, biomass, and storage. We also offer services to third-party clients across development, EPC, O&M, and distribution.
We are currently operating in 20 countries across four continents and are listed on the Euronext market in Paris since 2014.
The Shared Service Center seeks an Accountant who has expertise in Portuguese accounting and tax. This role involves preparing financial analyses of accounting sub-ledger activity and managing assigned portions of the general ledger.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing month-end reconciliations and reports to ensure critical controls are performed and maintained.
- Managing Procurement to Payment (P2P) processes, including processing invoices, obtaining proper information, and clarifying any discrepancies.
- Matching invoices with Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts, monitoring the approval process, and verifying vendor accounts.
- Maintaining close communication with departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in POs and payment requests.
Additionally, this role requires:
- Preparation of financial analysis and reports on accounting sub-ledgers for accounts payable.
- Accounts Payable Sub-ledger reconciliation.
- Monthly follow-up on unresolved items and escalation when necessary.
- Short-term cash flow forecasting.
- Maintenance of close communication with the accounting department for GAAP allocation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance-related field.
- Previous experience in shared service centers, preferably.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Previous experience with multiple VAT jurisdictions is a plus.
- International experience is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Excel or other BI tools.
- Proficient in English (mandatory) and French (preferred).
- IFS experience is preferred.
Required skills include organization, good communication, ability to meet deadlines, availability, and sense of responsibility. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location considerations.
