Job Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Immigration Specialist located in Lisbon with some work-from-home flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing legal advice on immigration matters
- Preparing and filing various immigration-related applications and petitions
- Representing clients in legal proceedings, AIMA, and staying up-to-date with current immigration laws and regulations
Key Responsibilities
The day-to-day tasks include:
- Client consultations and communication
- Conducting thorough research and analysis on immigration laws and regulations
- Drafting high-quality legal documents and correspondence
- Collaborating with team members to ensure effective case management
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of immigration laws and regulations
- Experience in preparing and filing immigration-related applications and petitions
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Law (or equivalent) and membership in the relevant legal bar association
- Prior experience in immigration law is preferred but not required
