Job Title: Indirect Tax Manager

As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Indirect Tax in the preparation and implementation of indirect tax strategies globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to form a global center of expertise for indirect taxation, VAT/GST, and withholding taxes.
  • Ensure the global strategy is executed properly at market level, working closely with regional tax leads.
  • Act as a business partner and point of contact for Global Functions, GBS Systems, and Control & Analytics team, as well as regional tax leads.
  • Advise and support operating units on structuring and tax optimization of intra-company supply and service relationships for indirect taxes.
  • Work closely with tax technology teams to ensure compliant VAT and WHT systems and processes.
  • Support the analysis and optimization of tax processes within the tax department, particularly project-specific with regard to the use of IT support solutions.
  • Participate and support in tax audits.
Requirements:
  • Good indirect tax knowledge and general knowledge of international tax regulations.
  • Deep business understanding of processes and structures.
  • Affinity to tax technology and basic SAP knowledge.
  • High customer focus to ensure understanding of tax requirements and increase willingness to comply.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment with new processes and tax law.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Completed university and technical college education or MBA.
  • In-depth knowledge of indirect taxation.
  • Basic knowledge of corporate tax and international tax law.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in indirect tax in an international corporation or Big4 auditing company.
  • Good English language skills and familiarity with computer-aided work and communication tools.
