Job Description

This postdoctoral research position focuses on developing a coupled LES-Fluid-Structure Interaction framework for the ECL5 fan stage under part-speed conditions. The project will integrate structural-dynamic coupling to achieve a fully coupled aeroelastic simulation. Key tasks include establishing a method for mapping structural modes onto the surface mesh used by the fluid solver, implementing deformation coupling between the surface mesh and volume nodes within the fluid domain, and performing simulations of the flow over the ECL5 fan stage at part-speed conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a solid background in numerical methods, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics, as well as fundamentals in turbomachinery aerodynamics. Proficiency in English and/or French is also required, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience with structural mechanics and turbomachinery aerodynamics are a plus.
