CNRS, a leading research institution in France, is seeking an experienced researcher to join its Groupe de physique des matériaux department.
**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a highly skilled researcher to lead our project FAIRE PLUS (Labex EMC3), which aims to develop a process for recycling Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting solvothermal pulverization tests at the GPM laboratory and sintering tests at the CRISMAT laboratory.
**Key Responsibilities:**
The recruited researcher will:
- Conduct experiments and analyses independently using X-ray diffraction, Mössbauer spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy, and SQUID magnetometry.
- Characterize materials before and after sintering to validate the recycling process.
**Requirements:**
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Expertise in X-ray diffraction analysis, Mössbauer spectrometry analysis, and SQUID magnetometry.
- Experience in sample preparation by solvothermal pulverization.
- Knowledge of magnetism, structure of materials for permanent magnets, and magnetic properties of materials for permanent magnets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to discuss results as a team and present findings orally in French and English.
**Salary and Benefits:**
The salary for this position is approximately €43,000 per year, based on the job requirements and location. The contract duration is 10 to 12 months, depending on administrative rules.
