The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead our development team in delivering high-quality software. You will own the delivery process end-to-end, ensuring that our products are built to modern development standards while fostering a culture of excellence.
This role is based in Lisbon, Portugal, with regular collaboration with our Denmark-based development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the delivery of high-quality software: Lead the technical direction of projects, ensuring that software is delivered on time, meets business requirements, and adheres to the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.
- Optimise development processes: Continuously review and improve the development lifecycle to increase efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance productivity.
- Coach and mentor developers: Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the development team.
- Foster professional growth and engineering excellence through regular feedback, training, and knowledge sharing.
Salary: €80,000 - €110,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About You:
We are looking for an individual with:
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the organisation.
- An analytical mindset to develop the best-fit technical solution.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills, and knowledge of project management principles.
- A good understanding of IT infrastructure, architecture, as well as a good understanding of non-technical parts of the business.
Our Stack:
We use Java (Grails), Python, VueJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Experience with managing the development of SaaS and cloud-based applications is a plus.
