The Role
This is a senior technical director role that requires a strong technical background, proven problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. As a senior engineering manager, you will provide tactical and strategic leadership to multiple-discipline teams working on concurrent projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical direction and oversight to multiple-discipline teams
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality software components within Blip's infrastructure
* Foster an open-source mindset and maintain strong relationships with other Senior Managers
* Lead, inspire, and motivate teams; coach, hold 1-to-1s, set objectives, review performance, and assist with career development
* Build a 'delivery with high quality' culture that prioritizes accountability and results
* Serve as liaison between the delivery team and key stakeholders
* Execute changes to meet evolving needs and requirements
* Continuously improve processes through automation and implementation of standards, checklists, and best practices
What You'll Bring
* Proven track record of leading and managing teams on complex software projects
* Experience with agile methods for software delivery
* Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly with regard to technical risks, issues, and constraints
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Portuguese)
* Ability to lead, motivate, and project manage work effectively
