About the Role
ENGIE, a global leader in the energy sector, is seeking a skilled Solar PV Procurement Specialist to join our team in Portugal. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, driving the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.

Key Responsibilities
Develop effective sourcing and cost-saving strategies for the procurement of materials and equipment used in solar PV business
Collaborate with the Sales Department to implement purchasing measures that drive results
Budget and develop solutions for the installation of decentralized solar systems
Manage RFQ activities, including supplier identification and negotiation
Run tenders, evaluate bids, and make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors
Maintain relationships with suppliers and identify alternatives
Work with the Head of Procurement to develop company terms and conditions for purchasing and assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures
Manage the supplier identification and onboarding process, including risk management, supplier setup, and contract management
Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
Evaluate spending operations and seek ways to improve product quality and delivery timeliness
Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvement

Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in procuring for the solar market
Pre-sales experience in developing and budgeting technical solutions
Strong experience in procurement of small and large volumes
Commercial and financial awareness, with a focus on managing budgets and keeping costs down
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
English proficiency (other languages are a plus)
