Job Description

We are looking for a Reliability Engineering Lead to join our team at UPPER. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, analyzing system-wide reliability issues, and driving automation improvements. If you have experience with designing and maintaining fault-tolerant, scalable systems and are proficient in working with various database technologies, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new features in collaboration with Development and Product Management teams.
  • Analyze system-wide reliability issues and identify root causes.
  • Develop tools for deployment, management, and service monitoring to improve automation.
  • Work within an agile environment, balancing sprint-based tasks with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with 12-hour shifts.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and maintaining fault-tolerant, scalable systems.
  • Proficiency in working with various database technologies (SQL Server, Postgres, NoSQL).
  • Experience with Configuration Management and CI/CD tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, managing production workloads.
  • Strong scripting knowledge in Python, Perl, Go, or JVM-based languages.
  • Deep understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and operations best practices.
  • Familiarity with Windows infrastructure and IIS-based workloads in production environments.
  • Passion for identifying and solving reliability issues with a proactive approach.
  • Commitment to automation-first principles—if it can be automated, it should be.
