About The Role

In this role as Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team and be the first person to see the localized game in its entirety. You'll get to experience the project in the way it will be consumed by the end users. Your tasks will include ensuring that the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized into the target language.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a global project team
  • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors
  • Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines
  • Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions
  • Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery
  • Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters
  • Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation
  • Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects

You Must Be Able To

  • Fluently speak and write Finnish and English
  • No prior experience required, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed
  • Have strong cultural understanding of the Finnish language
  • Be computer literate, particularly with Excel
  • Have robust internet research skills
  • Show excellent attention to detail
  • Have previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites
  • Be able to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams
  • Provide evidence of your right to work in Portugal if located outside of Portugal, a freelance contract will be applied

Working Conditions

  • Remote position with flexible working hours between 8:00 and 17:00 Portugal Time, Monday through Friday
  • Work at least 4 hours a day if there's a project

Estimated Salary Range: Based on the hourly rate and estimated working hours, the estimated monthly salary would be approximately €3,500. This figure may vary based on individual circumstances.
