Glocomms is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Data Engineering Specialist to join our Internal Data & AI Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and systems using Azure Cloud services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Engineering Competence Centers: Participate in Engineering Competence Centers to enhance knowledge and experience in cloud data engineering.
- Data Quality and Performance: Monitor and improve data quality and system performance to ensure high-quality data insights.
- Documentation: Document processes and best practices to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and onboarding of new team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Proficient in Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, and Hadoop.
- Experience working with data warehousing tools like Snowflake.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
