Job Description:
The Collections Associate Specialist will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, continuously following up on outstanding payments. They will contact customers via phone calls and emails to remind them of overdue balances, negotiating payment terms or settlement agreements when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in recording and updating payment and contact information in the management system, ensuring everything is properly documented. Additionally, analyze customer financial information to assess their creditworthiness and risk and prepare regular reports on the status of accounts receivable.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve discrepancies and disputes regarding invoices. Handle account reconciliations, ensuring that payments are applied correctly, and any inconsistencies are resolved efficiently.
- Monitor overdue accounts, working with the team to minimize the risk of non-payment. Assist in preparing aging reports and efficiently manage the customer portfolio to ensure the company's finances remain in good standing.
- Ensure all processes and transactions comply with accounting standards, policies, SOX and statutory requirements. Provide input to the global process owner group for operational opportunities for process and control design, as well as customer experience.
